WRITE FOR US

Are you a passionate, talented writer or expert who wants to share your story? Become a member of the TNF Voices community and together let’s inspire, uplift and help women across the globe. We believe in the power of sharing your passions, interests, and diverse experiences. Write for us!

OUR PURPOSE is to promote diverse voices and perspectives not only through the people and stories we cover, but also through the voices we are highlighting and seeking out.

OUR CONTENT represents a diversity of viewpoints, sexual orientations, and religions. It’s translated for the beginner but is still interesting to the expert. We support body-positivity and sex-positivity, women’s equality, women’s right to choose, BLM, the LGBTQIA+ community in and out of the workplace. We embrace women of all sizes, ages and cultures. We support women being their best selves.

OUR TONE is casual, conversational and easy to understand. We want readers to feel like they’re safe within a supportive community and often we’re informing them of topics that can be confusing, we don’t want anyone to feel like what they’re reading is out of their depth. We do like to open up important conversations and difficult topics so feel free to write something a little risky but just make sure the tone is correct.

How It Works
Once you send in your article, our team will review it as soon as possible. Please be aware that your submission should not go against our community guidelines. If you post something that does, it will not be approved and will be removed from our database immediately.

VOICE AND TONE
Be honest and authentic, and let your personality come through in your writing.
We welcome edgy topics, but try not to be intimidating.
If you wouldn’t say something to your subject’s face, don’t write it.
Your story should always provide a service to your reader (entertain/inform/educate)
Be clever in your writing but not salacious or snarky.
Use slang and abbreviations sparingly.
No slander.

FAQs

What is the word count per post?
We’re flexible on word count, but between 800-2000 words is a good place to start.

Do I send in a story idea or a full draft?
We ask that members submit a full draft for our editors to review in the submissions section on the dashboard.

Will I hear back if my submission isn’t accepted?
Our editors are constantly reviewing submissions, so you should receive a notification within 30 days of completing a submission, of whether your story has been accepted or not.

Do I need a special app or access?
Once you sign up, you’ll have access to our easy-to-use dashboard, where you’re able to build and submit your story.

Do I have to include photos?
Original photography isn’t required, but if you’re submitting a story that coils be enhanced with personal photos (such as a review, before-and-after stories, experiments or DIY’s), it has a greater chance of being published if you include them.

Can I publish my content somewhere else after it has gone up on THE NEW FEMINIST?
We ask that writers don’t republish original content they write for THE NEW FEMINIST anywhere once it has been published on THE NEW FEMINIST. However, you are welcome to promote links to your content on THENEWFEMINIST.CO.UK on your social accounts and/or personal blog.
